Degrees and Certifications:
BA Sociology LPSC
My name is Heather Roth and I am the middle school counselor. This is my fifth year to be in this school district. I long term subbed for a Tier 2 class in 2012, and taught Technology part-time, and am now on my fourth year of counseling. I am an alumni of University North Texas with a degree in Sociology and received my Master of Arts in School Counseling from Adams State University.
While going to school and working in the district, I have also had the opportunity to coach various sports. I have coached volleyball at University High, Eaton middle, Highland's middle school, and am now the Head Coach for Highland's high school team. I have coached 2 year of middle school girls basketball team as well as coached pole vault and long distance at the High school level for 2 years.
My main focus of this school year is helping students to find and use new coping skills. Transitioning into MS can be stressful, and helping these students to use their skills to help them within the classroom, on the field, and even at home, will be my passion.
Please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions that you may have regarding your student and their needs.
