    Food Service Coordinator


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Coordinate and manage the Weld Re-9 food service program.

    Develop menus that meet established nutritional guidelines.

    Administer the free and reduced lunch program following USDA guidelines.

    Compile and maintain food service budget (Fund 51).

    Evaluate job performance of employees.

    Recruit, train and supervise food service personnel. (Approx. 12 employees)

    Maintain safety standards that comply with federal, state, and district guidelines.

    Implement a district-wide customer service driven philosophy that focuses on value and satisfaction.

    Establish procedures to ensure that food is prepared and served in a sanitary and safe environment.

    Implement efficient management techniques to ensure all records and supporting documentation

    are maintained in accordance with local, state and federal laws and policies.

    Develop purchasing guidelines to ensure purchased food and supplies reflect product knowledge,

    customer preferences, district needs, policies and nutritional objectives.

    Develop procedures to ensure the food production system provides safe nutritious food of high quality.

    Demonstrated knowledge/competency in a variety of technology applications.

    High degree of skills in interpersonal relations and communications.

    Must possess the ability to develop and maintain rapport with staff.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in food service management, home economics, food and nutrition preferred

    but will consider prior experience in the food service industry.

    Part-time Bus Driver


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Operates assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the school bus operator's handbook,

    including all local state and federal laws.

    Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.

    Maintains student conduct that insures the safety of all students.

    Coordinates with supervisor to insure all required information is current and accurate.

    Completes appropriate paperwork.

    Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state.

    Administers first aid as necessary.

    Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.

    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    Licenses or Certification:

    Ability to Obtain a Colorado Commercial Drivers License

    Pass a First Aid / CPR Course

    Present a Motor Vehicle Report

    Essential Environmental Demands:

    Some dust and dirt, fumes and odors, noise, temperature extremes, and hazardous situations.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, arms, feet, and legs.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop; kneel or crouch; talk and hear.

    In the event of an emergency school bus evacuation, the employee may be required to assist in the removal of

    children from the rear of the vehicle requiring moving/lifting of over 100 lbs.

    Have the physical ability to make a 42-inch drop from an exit door.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

    peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Minimum starting rate is $14.00 per hour or more depending on experience.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Inventory parts and supplies using a barcode system.

    Responsible general office duties including answering the phone, greeting patrons, etc.

    Oversee time cards and coordinate with HR for pay periods and work schedules.

    Order parts and supplies for support services.

    Coordinate all shipping and receiving operations.

    Assist with management of school dude work orders and trip requests.

    Possible forklift operation, possible bus delivery (not transporting students).

    Delivery and pick up to schools and vendors.

    Communicate with patrons regarding bus routes and times.

    Maintain maintenance records for vehicles and equipment.

    Highland Elementary School consists of approximately 420 students in grades K-5.

    Duties:

    Approximately 420 students on case load

    Support classroom teachers with behavior intervention

    Oversee 504 plans as well as district progress monitoring testing

    Be a strong supporter of the classroom teacher

    Assist Principal with supervision (activities, playground and hall duty)

    Actively interact with students both in and out of the classroom

    Lead teachers in providing social and emotional learning

    Ensure students have access to needed materials such as school supplies

    Serve as building homeless student liaison

    Serve as School Assessment Coordinator for all state assessments

    184 day contract

    Other duties as deemed appropriate by building principal

    Requirements:

    Candidate must possess or be able to obtain appropriate licensing from the Colorado Department of Education. 

    MA degree in guidance and counseling strongly preferred.  Teaching experience strongly preferred.

    Strongly preferred that candidate is a team player willing to go above and beyond basic contractual requirements.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum salary is approximately $38,800 w/ BA, $43,000 w/ MA annually

    with the possibility of accepting up to 10 years of experience on the salary schedule.
