    Long Term Kindergarten Substitute Teacher

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.

    Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.

    Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities.

    Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in.

    Utilize various curriculum resources.

    Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.

    Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.

    Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.

    Participate in ongoing training sessions.

    Read and stay abreast of current topics in education.

    Utilize public library resources.

    Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.

    Tutor students on an individual basis.

    Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

    Prepare and distribute required reports.

    Observe and evaluate student's performance.

    Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.

    Maintain grade books.

    Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed.

    Write grant proposals to gain funding for further research.

    Create projects designed to enhance lectures.

    Develop incentives to keep participants in class.

    Develop professional relationships with other agencies and programs.

     

    Requirements: 

    Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with a teaching certification.  Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License.

      

    Salary and Benefits:

    The substitute rate of pay is $100 per day

    High School Head Secretary

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Receptionist for the High School including answering phones, checking in students and visitors, mail distribution, updating the school’s website and marquee sign

    Collect and manage student and staff absence information and schedule substitutes

    Process student registrations, maintain student record files, manage Infinite Campus users

    Provide support to staff including ordering supplies, entering purchase requisitions, managing grading windows, distributing report cards and progress reports

     

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    The ideal candidate will posess strong self-intiative and organizational skills, be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable providing support to staff members, students, parents, and the general public, and be proficient in Excel

      

    Work Schedule:

     

    The high school head secretary works from approximately 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch from approximately the first week of August until the second week in June, with fall, winter, and spring breaks off in addition to some holidays and non-school days throughout the academic year.

     

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum starting rate of $13.25 per hour.

    Medical Insurance Plan valued up to $635 per month, dental and vision insurance,, long-term disability, life insurance, PERA retirement with an 8.75% contribution by the employee and a 20.40% contribution by employer and personal and sick leave.

    Position Summary:

    The person hired for this position will be responsible for teaching special education students in 6th through 8th grade.

    Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting,

    stooping, kneeling, crouching, as well as stamina to be on feet and active for full work days. 

    Duties:

    Assisting in the development of, and implementation of, student IEPs

    Providing individualized instruction for students

    Effectively communicating with parents

    Working cooperatively and effectively with general education teachers

    Monitor and evaluate student progress

    Prepare educational records and reports

    Analyze student data and use this information to drive instruction

    Conduct classroom and standardized assessments to measure student growth

    Other duties as deemed appropriate by building principal

    Requirements:

    Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education with a teaching certification.

    Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum salary is $36,500 per year with the possibility of accepting all years of experience on the salary schedule.

    Part-time Bus Driver


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Operates assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the school bus operator's handbook,

    including all local state and federal laws.

    Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.

    Maintains student conduct that insures the safety of all students.

    Coordinates with supervisor to insure all required information is current and accurate.

    Completes appropriate paperwork.

    Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state.

    Administers first aid as necessary.

    Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.

    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    Licenses or Certification:

    Ability to Obtain a Colorado Commercial Drivers License

    Pass a First Aid / CPR Course

    Present a Motor Vehicle Report

    Essential Environmental Demands:

    Some dust and dirt, fumes and odors, noise, temperature extremes, and hazardous situations.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, arms, feet, and legs.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop; kneel or crouch; talk and hear.

    In the event of an emergency school bus evacuation, the employee may be required to assist in the removal of

    children from the rear of the vehicle requiring moving/lifting of over 100 lbs.

    Have the physical ability to make a 42-inch drop from an exit door.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

    peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Additional Duties & Benefits:

    The contract period for bus drivers is the instructional calendar.

    Occasionally, drivers will have the opportunity to drive in the summer.

    These trips are usually offered to drivers who receive medical benefits.

    Drivers are entitled to severance, as well as sick, bereavement, and personal leave.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum starting rate is $15.00 per hour or more depending on experience.

    Responsible for providing a safe educational environment

    Participate in implementing students' Individual Education Plans and behavior plans

    Requirements:

    Experience working with high age students. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.

    Applicant must demonstrate a great deal of patience and empathy.

    Minimum starting rate is $12.00 per hour with the possibility of accepting years of experience on the salary schedule.
