    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum starting rate is $16.25 per hour with possible increases depending on experience and education.

      Elementary School Teacher - Available August 2019 

    Position Summary:

    This position is responsible for instructing students in an elementary school.

    Creates lesson plans, administers praise and constructive criticism, and creates a well-rounded comprehensive instructional program.

    Responsibilities:

    Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.

    Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.

    Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities.

    Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in.

    Utilize various curriculum resources.

    Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.

    Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.

    Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.

    Participate in ongoing training sessions.

    Read and stay abreast of current topics on education.

    Utilize public library resources.

    Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.

    Tutor students on an individual basis.

    Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

    Prepare and distribute required reports.

    Observe and evaluate student's performance.

    Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.

    Maintain grade books.

    Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed.

    Write grant proposals to gain funding for further research.

    Create projects designed to enhance lectures.

    Develop incentives to keep participants in class.

    Develop professional relationships with other agencies and programs.

    Requirements:

    Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a teaching certification.

    Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum salary is $35,200 per year with the possibility of accepting years of experience on the salary schedule.

    Salary:

    Approximately 9% of Base.

    There may be possible MS and HS teaching positions available as well.

    Part-time Bus Driver


    Primary Responsibilities:

    Operates assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the school bus operator's handbook,

    including all local state and federal laws.

    Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.

    Maintains student conduct that insures the safety of all students.

    Coordinates with supervisor to insure all required information is current and accurate.

    Completes appropriate paperwork.

    Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state.

    Administers first aid as necessary.

    Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.

    Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    Licenses or Certification:

    Ability to Obtain a Colorado Commercial Drivers License

    Pass a First Aid / CPR Course

    Present a Motor Vehicle Report

    Essential Environmental Demands:

    Some dust and dirt, fumes and odors, noise, temperature extremes, and hazardous situations.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, arms, feet, and legs.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop; kneel or crouch; talk and hear.

    In the event of an emergency school bus evacuation, the employee may be required to assist in the removal of

    children from the rear of the vehicle requiring moving/lifting of over 100 lbs.

    Have the physical ability to make a 42-inch drop from an exit door.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

    peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Additional Duties & Benefits:

    The contract period for bus drivers is the instructional calendar.

    Occasionally, drivers will have the opportunity to drive in the summer.

    These trips are usually offered to drivers who receive medical benefits.

    Drivers are entitled to severance, as well as sick, bereavement, and personal leave.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Minimum starting rate is $14.00 per hour or more depending on experience.

    Position Summary:

    This person is responsible for working in a team environment in a High School Special Education Department

    assisting the instructors in providing educational experiences and support to students.

    The employee is required to interact with the public and other staff.

    Physical Requirements:

    Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting,

    stooping, kneeling, crouching, as well as stamina to be on your feet and active for full work days.

    Duties:

    Provide instructional assistance to special education students

    Monitor and evaluate student progress

    Assisting students in a general education classroom

    Participate as a classified staff member within the building

    Participate in all aspects of special education students schooling experience

    Responsible for providing a safe educational environment

    Participate in implementing students' Individual Education Plans and behavior plans

    Requirements:

    Experience working with high age students. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.

    Applicant must demonstrate a great deal of patience and empathy.

    Minimum starting rate is $11.25 per hour with the possibility of accepting some years of experience on the salary schedule.
