Mr. Paul Burkhard

Mr. Burkhard is going into his 14th year of teaching at Highland High School.  For the 2018-2019 school year, Mr. B. will be teaching Freshman Technology and Yearbook/Journalism.  Mr. B. and the Highlander Yearbook staff have been proud recipients of the National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award for meeting the highest standards in yearbook production a total of six times since 2012.

In addition, Mr. B. also teaches a total of four Concurrent Enrollment courses, which give students the opportunity to complete college coursework through Aims Community College while taking Highland High School classes.  This year, the Concurrent Enrollment classes include the following Aims courses:  MGD 111:  Photoshop 1, MGD 112: Illustrator 1, CAD 101: Computer Aided Drafting 1 and CAD 219: AutoDESK 3DS Max.  These courses give the Highland student the opportunity to complete as many as 12 college credits worth of technology courses while attending Highland High School.

For the 2018-2019 school year, Mr. B. will also be working with students in the OdysseyWare Credit Recovery program for two periods each day.
