Degrees and Certifications:
I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and then received a Master's in Elementary Education from University of Northern Colorado. This is my sixteenth year teaching in Highland Schools. I spent my first seven years teaching fourth grade at the elementary school. I then moved to seventh grade language arts, which I taught for three years. Now, I am beginning my fifth year of teaching Tier Two Reading. I am also the coordinator for the gifted and talented program. In the spring I coach middle school track, with my focus being on hurdles.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family in the great outdoors. I have three young boys who keep me busy with hiking, running, climbing, and a variety of other activities.
